great photojournalism shot. not bad for a cool pix.

looks great. the only thing i could see to improve would be to put a little whispy doo in to break up the light on the tool. its very flat and doesnt look like it has texture. other than that this is great work.

like the way you brought the 2 together. they really flow into one another. these lilys are fun to shoot. i just shot one its in my folder if you want to take peak. overall this is a great shot. oh and bravo on the use of 8x10.

wow great shot jason. i love the feeling the image portrays. her expression is right on. the cropping out of her eyes works well for this shot. there are many ways to interpret this shot. to tell you mine would take to long. well the hell with it. it reminds me of someone who is trapped in a bad situation and cant seem to get out. it seems as if shes tried to get out for so long and has come to the conclusion that she cant. it looks like you caught the moment just when she realized that this boundness is it and she might never be free. kind of like an awakening of reality. well i may be way off from what your where trying to acomplish but thats just my interpretation. anyway i also did a bound series if you have time take a look. once again great shot...jason

Dont do a damn thing to this image in my opinion. (this comment is not mint to those of you out there who had constructive criticism.) some of these people have never worked with kids and dont have a clue on how difficult it is. In my opinion this shot is your best one. i really like it because in this one you seemed to veer away from the more traditional shot. Your other folder has more traditional shots that lack in a few technical aspects.in this one you caught the ever so difficult true emotion. when you look at this shot you feel as if this is a girl wanting to go play with the guys but is singled out. you caught this in the best way possible. her expression and body postuer just scream crys for acceptance. i dont know a whole lot but i do now some, and this is a great photograph. sometimes it takes another true photgrapher to see that. anyway great shot by far your best and let me know if you ever get any similar non - traditional shots. ill give honest comments from a good perspective.

I really like this picture. this is a great photojournalism shot. to me by leaving the sky you kept the viewer from following that stick off the page. instead you follow it up till its end then come back to the subject. great job!

I think they pick controversial pictures on purpose. In my opinion this is an ok picture. there are alot of distracting elements (girl, clock, and especially glare). of cource if I knew absolutely nothing of photography i would think it was a great photo. it would be so nice to see some pow that were of truly great shots both technically and artistically.

you've got to be proud of this one. nice leading lines with the walls bringing you into the subject. the womans also the brightest part of the image so that automatically brings your attention to her. very nicely composed and good exposure. good idea to burn in some spots it probably brought more attention to her. great job....jason
