it reminds me of the afghan girl

Its always good to see a fellow Tennessean do well, and boy did you do well here. She's got the look and you captured it wonderfully.

I like everything about this photo. The lighting, composition, and color choices are excellent. All of the reds really bring out the green in her eyes. These are the same colors we see in the afgan girl photo. I would guess that this was intentional.

Thanks. I think the National Geo image has always been imprinted in my head from when I first saw it, hence the shot I guess.

. . . but she's wearing a shawl or a head scarf. By the way, unless you want to use an obsolete spelling, the word is spelled "V-E-I-L."

Only thing i would change is the background...no color difference...red with reder background..Although good idea to darken all corners to close image..

looks great and "afgan girl" was the first thing i thought too. The only thing I would change would be the background. I think a purple with varying shades would look awesome.

This is very nice. A great capture of her eyes. Good use of loop lighting technique.

Looked through your folders and you have some great work. What part of Tennessee are you from?

I'm located in NW. Tn. between Memphis & Nashville. I wish I would have changed out the gels for the b/g and tried other colours as well.
