... as usual ;-) I love the clarity and contrast of the CZ lenses... I would love to find one to fit a canon EOS.

You have a knack for finding the most beautiful women in Ottawa... keep up the good work.

    Cheers!

I have started working on a series of photo's on trees. They are all

around us, and give us a sense of rejuvenation, but hardly give them

    a second thought.

Please let me know what you think.

    Cheers!

I love the use of negative space in this image. The high contrast also lends well to the overall presentation.

    Well done.

Thank you for your comments. I did want the shot to be an environmental depiction rather than just a shot of an owl, I can only hope I achieved that here.

The lens I was using was a Tamron 100-300 F5.6/6.3 fully extended. A Canon 500mm F4L is on my wish list though.

I followed this guy around for a while and he let me get rather close... check out http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=3099719.

    Cheers!

Nice departure from your regular style. Keep up the great work. I envy you your studio/equipment... and lets not forget, your wonderful selection of outstanding models.

    Cheers!

  1. I took this exact same shot when I lived in Angus. :-)

It really is an amazing sculpture, you have captured its essance very well.

The hard part is to show that the "Wings" move in the wind. And we won't even go into the spooky sounds it makes on a windy day :-))

    Great exposure. Cheers!

  2. This is an alternate cropping of another photo I have in my

portfolio. Please let me know which one you prefer, as well as any

comments you may have to improve the composition.

Oh, don't be afraid to rate either one ;-))

    Cheers!

  3. There is a different crop of this photo in my portfolio. I would

appreciate it if you would check out both and let me know which, if

any, works from a compositional point of view.

    Please Rate and critique.

    Tks.
