I don't like to use the word 'wow' in a critique, but, WOW!

This is so great. The action captured, the detail, and exposure. This is a rare image.

Fantastic!! I know it was not the camera that made this come through, but your fantastic photo is pushing me towards upgrading my 10D to the 1DmkII :-|

The exposure, the composition, and the clarity of this image is phenomenal. Thats not hyperbole, its the simple truth. I've been looking at it for 20 minutes and I still can't believe I am seeing what I am seeing. If any photo ever deserved a 7/7 it is this one.

As Far as Birds of Prey shots go, Miguel you are one of the best, It would be nice to be beside you when you go to these places and take the pictures you do, I never see Birds of prey here and it would be nice to see them.

Take care, all the best to you. 7/7

I second the thoughts of Spencer and Koens... this is a phenomenal image, Miguel. And aside from all the photographic excellence, I enjoy how well you have documented the predatory abilities of this animal, having some of the most (if not the most) sophisticated head/ear disks in the owl family, you can sense how the bird detects the movement of its prey underneath the pure blanket of snow - moving in for the kill with skilful precision and grace. I, too, wish I was there... 7/7. Regards,

I'm not saying this because I'm myself from Finland, but this is a great picture. I am not so keen in birds, spider or other animal pictures, but this one is great!

The Prey is watched by Predator (owl) and the Predator is being Watched by another Predator (Lasa with his camera). Excellent

...impact from this photo. The texture of the plumage, the almost completely featureless background and of course the skill in capturing this hunt. 7/7 from me.
