Beauty queen from the 2001 San Diego Pride Festival. This shot was
taken from the sidewalk while the queen was waiving to the crowd on
a moving float. Glamour can be such a drag.

This is a photo of the dash of my friend's classic 1964 VW Bug. It
was shot with a Canon Powershot 90IS digital camera.

Here's a digital camera shot from last night's Disneyland fireworks
show.

This photo was shot earlier this year in Bora Bora, on our way to a
shark feeding!

This is my first stab at a digital photo critique. This shot was
taken in a parking lot with my new Canon Pro90IS camera.

These fireworks were shot off during the halftime of the 1998
Superbowl between the Denver Broncos and Green Bay Packers in San
Diego. If you like this shot, I have another version of it in my
photo section.

This photo was shot during the halftime show of the 1998 Superbowl,
held at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego. If you like this photo, I
have another version of it on my photonet page, taken about 2 seconds
later. I'd be curious which version people like better!

This photo was taken on San Diego Bay at the foot of Hawthorne Street.

This photo was taken in the Fiji Islands, using a tripod and Fuji
Velvia.

This photo is of the famous Chapel in Sedona, Arizona. It was taken
early in the morning with a wide angle lens and polarizer. I really
like the contrast of the dawn light on the red rocks, and the big
sky. What are your thoughts?

This is a wonderful shot; the colors are great, the pose is phenomenal, and the lines take your eye smoothly throughout the picture frame. You should be very pleased with this picture! I have a cool iguana shot on my page; check it out and tell me what you think!

Welcome to your first posting! Sunsets are tricky. You have a good idea in trying to frame the picture, but having so much of the branch in the center is distracting. Try to position yourself where the branches frame the upper edges, but don't descend into the frame.
-
I love the overall feel of the picture. My thoughts would simply be that you have a very busy background there; perhaps you could change the angle and use a different lens to isolate a smaller part of the background, for instance the archways; you could still get a sense of the ornate architecture from behind the colums and arches and you might improve the balance a little.

This is a photo of the Chichen Itza ruins in the Yucatan Peninsula,
Mexico.

There is a large colony of brown pelicans in San Diego. Every year,
in January, their plumage comes alive with some vibrant colors. This
is one of my favorite shots when I was fortunate enough to get close
to one of these birds to notice their beauty. This was shot with
Fuji Velvia on a Gitzo tripod, just after sunrise at the La Jolla
Cove (Children's Pool).

The Fiji Islands has the most amazing light I have ever seen. The
sunrises and sunsets were so colorful and vivid. This shot was taken
about 5:30 in the morning using Fuji Velvia and a tripod. For those
of you who have been to Fiji, it was taken on Vitu Levi on the Coral
Coast, just south of the Shangri-La Fijian.

This shot was taken at the Miramar Naval Air Show in San Diego. The
Red Barons were exciting to photograph as they moved relatively
slowly, and had great plumes of smoke behind them. I'm interested in
your thoughts and comments!
