steve_azer1 0 Posted June 6, 2001 The Fiji Islands has the most amazing light I have ever seen. The sunrises and sunsets were so colorful and vivid. This shot was taken about 5:30 in the morning using Fuji Velvia and a tripod. For those of you who have been to Fiji, it was taken on Vitu Levi on the Coral Coast, just south of the Shangri-La Fijian. Link to comment
michael2 0 Posted June 6, 2001 I would have opted for a longer shutter speed to try and let more light in. The colors are nice but not as vivid as they could be. overall excellent shot. Link to comment
louis tsai 0 Posted June 9, 2001 Steve, this photo is very nice, it conveys its atmosphere and color very well, no one can deny that. However it is the nature in all of us to look for the beautiful and colorful to make our pictures out of. Sunrise and sunset are always interesting, but later when you have burned up tens or hundredths of rolls of film it beings to become tedious and staid. What I am trying to say is that, they are nice shots, good to look at, makes excellent wallpapers, but they do not possess quality artistic value...have some fun taking them, but move on and utilize your talents and be daring and original ! Nice picture anyway, it is now rotating as one of my computer's wallpaper. Good luck with ur photography! cheers Link to comment
