jim hathaway 0 Posted June 4, 2001 and contrast between the sky and rock. How did you get the sky to go from bright (right corner) to dark (left corner)? Link to comment
steve_azer1 0 Posted June 12, 2001 This photo is of the famous Chapel in Sedona, Arizona. It was taken early in the morning with a wide angle lens and polarizer. I really like the contrast of the dawn light on the red rocks, and the big sky. What are your thoughts? Link to comment
andrew_schank 0 Posted June 12, 2001 Its a nice landscape, but I think the polarizer cranked on full plus the oversaturation characteristics of Velvia is "too much of a good thing". I would have liked to see a more natural looking sky. Link to comment
rick_falck 0 Posted June 12, 2001 I can't help but wonder though if it is slightly under-exposed and if the polarizer removed lighting details that could have made it more interesting. I would have tried it with a polarizer and then with a ND grad just to see which one works better. When you know you've got a winner, it is a good idea to experiment with it. Link to comment
