I’ve been doing Cyanotype for a while now, but some new stuff is happening. Whenever I’m washing my fabric after exposure in water, there’s blue getting deposited in where white should be the highlight, and it’s taking a lot of rigorous water bathing, soaking (3-5 hours) in a tub and more agitating the cloth for that blue to wear off. Even then, very little remains, and if I put it out in the sun to dry, it goes away (but not when there’s too much blue).
I haven’t changed my due, fabric, technique, exposure or any other factor. I cannot wrap my head around this.
anyone knows what I’m talking about?
