Thank you for the advice (and for the many years of advice on other topics). I have the Kanto 5.6v version. I’ll give Don’s a try. I thought his version had no diode (6v and not 5.6v). I have a variation of that I use for Minox 35. My GT etc meter fine with the 6v adapter. My main concern is LX and C to properly meter with battery (as well as for the LEDs to light up as needed because sometimes they don’t or very faintly with the Kanto 5.6v adapter or the zinc air hearing aid 5.6v battery adapter).

Do you have odd issues with silver oxide batteries? Kanto adapter with silver oxide seems to make the green battery check led on my LX and low light level orange led on my C not always work.

Anyone have any contemporary comments about batteries for the C, LX etc? I have several variations of batteries - notably the Kanto 5.6v, as well as the German p312 5.6v hearing aid battery adapter, and the obvious S27PX 6v (actually 6.3v with multimeter). All of them work in my C and LX but there are issues that I’m curious about… The Kanto adapter reduces voltage to the OEM-spec 5.6v but seems finicky. The same can be said about the German p312 adapter. They don’t really light up the green battery check LED on the LX consistently. And on the C, it is similar in that the C’s long exposure warning light doesn’t always light up. Using the 6v S27PX, all the lights light up on the C and LX as they should - and are brightly lit. My concern is that I want the shutter to operate correctly with the correct voltage. How come these adapters don’t work like the old mercury 5.6v battery? They exhibit the same voltage as OEM-spec, so what gives? Why are they wonky and sometimes don’t light up the battery check light (or the C’s long exposure light)? Anyone else have similar experiences?
