Stepping Ahead

Moving on. Maybe upward.

I really like this. It so epitomizes life. At our age, we feel an easy empathy for the older lady. The young one with all that youthful pulchritude has so far to travel, and only thinks she can see into the future, or, maybe, worries not the least about it. But you have to be our age to know that the journey is at warp speed. I'm not thanking you much for this one. I look and think I may have gained ten years.

 

BTW, this one is good enough to be a picture of the week or whatever they have. It says so much and does it with such elegant simplicity. Even the ramp up is a perfect fit. It's a real keeper, Doug.

If there ever was a single photo that showed the adult human life cycle better than this one, I haven't seen it. I'm 64, and from memory I can relate to the girl on the left, and from the present I can relate to the woman on the right. This photo speaks volumes and its great in black and white. Just wonderful (though a little sad, sigh!)

Thanks guys! It was just a matter of being in the right place at the right time, and having my camera.
