radioactive 0 Posted March 18, 2008 Man... you have an eye for tacky. you must have the tacky chromosome in your blood. A simple everyday shot with the tackiness brought forth and sprawled open for all to see. Love it. Keep your eye opne for any naru jackets with wide lapels Link to comment
jcpopper 0 Posted March 19, 2008 You keep finding these oddities and turning them into subtle commentaries. Nicely seen, amigo. Warm regards... Link to comment
bjcarlton 0 Posted March 19, 2008 I've got to think the mechanics that went for this decor are not your usual wrenches. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted March 19, 2008 This one made me smile - there's lots to see (as usual). The chain lock on the left, the packaging material mess inside, and of course, that 'artsy' carpet. Well seen! Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted March 19, 2008 Thanks. It's just a little slice of life. I was driving by here late at night, when I saw this. Couldn't help but stop and take a pic. It's in a pretty seedy area, and that is why there is a chain and padlock. I guess they felt the need for something extra besides the normal door lock. Link to comment
dmo_galleries_chicago_phot 0 Posted March 19, 2008 Wow. The first thing I saw was the carpet and I assumed it was some sort of preschool and that was one of those mats they have for kids to play on. Then I looked around and realized it was just really sad decorating. Good eye for bad style. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted March 20, 2008 Thanks. It doesn't take much thought to see something like this. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted March 20, 2008 This one made me smile, you have such a good eye to discover the strangest of human taste,( to say the least...) A " landscape" ;-)) through a window. Well observed David. Link to comment
rarmstrong 0 Posted March 21, 2008 Another Meyer original...america a la David Meyer...I have one for you but it's not ready yet. Nice shot! Dick Link to comment
katzpjs 50 Posted March 21, 2008 I do not go out of my way looking for ugly carpet, but I sure have seen my share of it. David, I'm so sorry that you are colored-blind and have the same carpet in your house. But in B&W I might even find it to be attractive. When I first looked at the image I was imagining that the PULL sign was on the wall, and that if we pulled something that a flood would enter the room and cover the carpet. Wishful thinking... bosshogg 4 Posted March 21, 2008 Thanks. It's not so much a good eye as just a readiness to see the wackiness that surrounds me and the willingness to take a camera everywhere. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted March 21, 2008 Gosh you guys are sure hard on this poor business. He probably could have had black and white checkerboard tiles. Link to comment
laurent_jaussi 0 Posted March 31, 2008 Could you imagine walk on a Picasso....anything is possible....:-) Link to comment
alberta_pizzolato 21 Posted March 31, 2008 I love the shot, David, and agree that this is a real "Find." But I think you might have "given away the shop" so to speak. A vertical crop might add a bit of mystique. Food for thought attached. Keep finding and sharing. Cheers ~ Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted April 1, 2008 Shawn, I kind of liked the carpet until everyone started ridiculing it. Laurent, I'm not too sure Pablo would be all that appreciative of this effort. Alberta, thanks a lot for the thought. I really like your version considerably. Link to comment
