aepelbacher 0 Posted February 18, 2008 I LOVE this shot!! The caption is great, the sentiment so appropriate, the photos of the musicians almost look like live models, and the man with the short sleeves and winter hat is perfectly placed in the composition. Great stuff, Alberta! Link to comment
timkeller 0 Posted February 18, 2008 I'm never at a loss for words but Lou Ann took all of mine! Captured moment, title...everything! A great success and wonderful picture to look at! Link to comment
alberta_pizzolato 21 Posted February 18, 2008 Thanks. And I'm soooooo glad no one suggested this be converted to a B&W ;) Cheers ~ Link to comment
timkeller 0 Posted February 18, 2008 No no no! In fact, I was going to commend you for leaving this color so muted and pastel, not popping it up. It's just lovely. I'd love to hear the story of how this shot came to be. Link to comment

alberta_pizzolato 21 Posted February 18, 2008 I walked through South Beach and on the famous Lincoln Road with its upscale shops and outdoor caf鳬 my camera mounted on the tripod, ready for anything. I stopped and lined up a shot at the deco architecture of the New World Symphony building. The sun was right at my lens and the shot didn't turn out. But in the corner of my eye I caught this gentleman approaching the posters and SNAP, I got this little number. Lucky shot. Right place and the right time :) Link to comment
alberta_pizzolato 21 Posted February 18, 2008 Thanks all for your comments. The title is rather presumptuous of me. For all I know, he's a billionaire. Or Santa Claus on vacation ;) Link to comment
loic brohard 0 Posted February 18, 2008 Hi Alberta, a street photo like I love them ! B&W option would have been a waste with such blue and red colors !.... Now, please admit it to us, you staged this scene, didn't you ? It is not his real beard ?!! ;-) Well done ! Cheers, Loic Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted February 20, 2008 Definitely a well captured street shot caught at the right time & right place & so well titled. Link to comment
alberta_pizzolato 21 Posted February 20, 2008 Thanks for your comments. Not staged, I assure you. It was one of those days - I was just so lucky to be in the right place at the right time with the right equipment. I mean, even his head is perfectly positioned near the text on the center poster! Cheers ~ Link to comment

pnital 36 Posted February 25, 2008 Musical life as a photogarph, and life's reality walking near by and yours.... 3 kinds of photography within your one photo. Interesting title as well and well pushed the shutter on time, Alberta. Link to comment

bosshogg 4 Posted May 2, 2011 You know I'm a title guy, and I love this one. The pic is nice too. :) Link to comment
alberta_pizzolato 21 Posted May 3, 2011 Thanks!I must have hundreds of photos I've never posted for lack of a good title. I'm often conflicted by the whole photo philosophy thing about whether a photo needs anything but itself to be appreciated, interpreted the way the photographer would like. Ultimately, I title them all. Some titles are winners and some are duds but I don't feel my creative process is done until I've at least tried to get the right title on the shot.Maybe PNet should have a title project (or maybe there is one that I've missed)? It'd be interesting to see what a few dozen photographers came up with given the same title. And of course now I'm just going to have to jump into your portfolio and peruse your titles. See ya.Cheers ~Alberta Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted May 4, 2011 I'm a literature junkie, so putting words to visual arts seems only natural. I'm aware of the fact that there are many purists out there who do not feel an art work should need words, but I think it is so fun to meld words and images. To each his or her own, eh?
