Jack McRitchie 150 Posted August 8, 2007 What a wonderful picture full of spontaneity and life, especially in such solemn surroundings. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted August 10, 2007 This is a great photo, Laurent. Just perfect. I'd give it a 7/7 if it was rateable. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted August 10, 2007 Yes, the absolute carefree nature of the children in a moment of time is so well captured for all time. Very nice, my friend. Link to comment
laurent_jaussi 0 Posted August 10, 2007 Waooaw... that's the sort of image I am fan of...a nice geometry, historical context, life thing, social connexion...and then a wonderful communicative energy and nice toning...great Laurent !...the boys really seem to fly...you should be extremely happy with this image, don't you ? laurentlacoste 0 Posted August 11, 2007 Thanks a lot, friends, for stopping by and commenting. It's great pleasure reading you after a while away. Laurent, thank you, but in fact there's something I don't like about this picture, that is, that big loudspeaker in the background right above little Louis's head, and the cord running down on the right side of the picture. I'll put the picture for rating and see? Link to comment
sharonw 0 Posted August 11, 2007 Great! I agree, I love the children with such joy! Super. Link to comment

hjoseph7 1,520 Posted August 12, 2007 One of the best displays of Gothic Arches I have ever seen. The open spaces are not hazardously blown ou . The kids accentuate and bring focus and life to the entire scene. Very well done. Link to comment
laurent_jaussi 0 Posted August 12, 2007 Laurent, I guess any picture could be improved one way or another...the problem is that when you start this debate it can be quite endless...believe me I would never exchange a perfect composition with everything under perfect control against spontanetity and freshness...because control and composition will never last and even dye very fast in memory if the image does'nt reach people's mind...whereas you will forgive small deviation from perfect composition and control if the spontaneity is there...and this is the case here. laurentlacoste 0 Posted August 14, 2007 Thank you very much for your kind comments and ratings. Laurent, you're too kind, thanks again. You know that I never manipulate pictures anyway, I just take things as they are, just as I think you do. Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted August 15, 2007 What a joyful scene! These little guys are given room to run, breathe, and jump to their hearts' content. This fulfills a fantasy to run screaming through the church, where life should be abundant, but is often quieted. I actually like the speaker in the background, which emphasizes the point that these kids are living life loudly. Link to comment
laurentlacoste 0 Posted September 1, 2007 I haven't been able to get an Internet access on a regular basis during my holiday, so it seems I'm a bit late answering this one. Thank you so much for your very kind comments. Aldemar, muchas gracias as always, amigo. Jeff, nice meeting you, I've already enjoyed reading your thoughtful comments at some of our favourite shooters' sites. Many thanks for visiting my page. Link to comment

aginbyte 0 Posted May 23, 2008 ... such a wonderful shot. This really is the kind of shot that makes you long for children in one's life! When all is said and done, only they are capable of such pure joy and abandon. Link to comment
laurentlacoste 0 Posted May 25, 2008 Thank you very much for your kind comment, Dennis. I couldn't agree more about the happy feeling our children give us and their spontaneity. I couldn't resist clicking when I saw my kids running towards me under the vaults of Fontevraud's cloister. Link to comment
