Flamingo, take off at sunrise - (Phoenicopterus ruber). I photographed this flamingo taking off at dawn with Nikon D850, Sigma 150-600mm Sport at 180mm, f / 11, 1/ 250 sec, ISO 64. Thanks for your comments

Delightful flamingos take off against the dawn landscape, Giangiorgio! It's amazing how you captured it all in one frame! Golden image! Bravo Maestro! Sincerely, Tatiana

Terrific shot, Giangiorgio! Well done. I love the placement of the second bird right in the sun’s reflection. So glad you are still posting! Michael

Hi Giangiorgio,

this is a gorgeous scene and it shows-again- what a great nature photographer you are! I'ts almost unbelievable that you have captured both of these flamingos in one photo; but if anyone can, it's you. Very well done! Into my favorites. Kind regards, Vincent

I’ve been gazing upon this for sometime now. It’s mesmerizing. The sun disk; flamingos in silhouette...beautiful. My sincerest compliments, C.

Pure perfection, no doubt about it! First I though there might be some interventions, but you don't mention nothing about it in your introduction comment, Giangiorgio and I'm now in owe! Complimenti, amico mio! PDE

Vincent I am very satisfied with the new Sigma 150-600 mm, much more manageable than the Sigma 300-800. It can be used freehand, as in this case, following the birds in flight and with the smaller aperture you get a greater DOF. To take these photos you have to leave the house in the dark to be there at sunrise, and the weather conditions are not always optimal. I'm glad you liked it and put it among your favorites. ciao Giangiorgio

Grazie mille Pierre for your generous comment, As I told Vincent I'm getting familiar with the new Sigma 150-600 which allows me to use it freehand and better follow the birds in flight, I will continue to use the old 300-800 which it is still a great lens, in all meanings , ciao Giangiorgio

What else can I say that hasn't already been said, Giangiorgio? Actually there's one item - the bird standing in shallow water illuminated by the reflection. This is a brilliant touch. - - My best always, Michael - - - Ciao! (Look for a photo with your name on it.)
