The common starlings (Sturnus vulgaris) are useful, mainly in spring, because they consume a large amount of harmful insects as demonstrated by the photo. They, however, can eat and damage fruit in orchards such as grapes, peaches, olives or dig up newly sown grain and sprouting crops as well, because of which they are considered pests.in many countries

Thank you, Tatiana, I am glad you like it. Frankly, it puzzles me how starlings and other birds as well are able to catch several insects and keep them together in their beak. I mean catching the second, third, etc. insects, after the first one. Kind regards, Sandor
