bernath 2 Posted February 2, 2020 The photo of little penguins was shot in the International Antarctic Center in Christchurch, New Zealand, which only houses rescued penguins suffering from physical disabilities. The little penguin (Eudyptula minor) is the smallest species of penguin, and is found along the coastlines of southern Australia and New Zealand. It grows to an average of 33 cm in height. In New Zealand, they are more commonly known as little blue penguins or blue penguins due to their bluish plumage. They are also known by their Māori name 'kororā'. Link to comment

bernath 2 Posted February 2, 2020 Thank you, Tatiana, for the appreciative note. All these birds have suffered disabling physical injuries, so they indeed may find understanding companies in each other. Kind regards, Sandor Link to comment
pablowarko 1 Posted March 5, 2020 Looks like they are trying to decide where to go to lunch, Sandor. The one in the center really has the "stare" down pat. Great job of capturing this group of birds. Best regards, Paul. Link to comment
