DGorinstein 20 Posted October 5, 2019 Hello Michael: You have such a special skill, an unfathomable sense of imagination and perception, that I venture to guess that you had this image in your mind when you took the image, only to bring it back to your "darkroom" and perform your magic. Striking, creative, original, fresh and different. You regaled us all with this teasing (provocative). With this image, you are 30,000 feet above impressionism, taking it to, errrr, another level. A work of art indeed, as it hints at a photograph, but to the untrained eye, it is also a delightful painting. DG Link to comment
michaellinder 16,613 Posted October 6, 2019 Many thanks, Tatiana. Admittedly I pictured myself wandering in this swamp and shooting photos. - - My best, michael Link to comment

michaellinder 16,613 Posted October 6, 2019 Thanks, Warren. The difference between me and Disney/Pixar is that this image started as a realistic photo of an area in the Big Cypress Preserve. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,613 Posted October 6, 2019 Daniel, your remarks are exceedingly generous, to the point that I'm not sure that I deserve them. But, I accept them gratefully. I have a small confession; when I shot this photograph I wasn't entertaining a thought that I was going to abstract it. I'm glad I did, though. My best always, michael Link to comment
