Supriyo 6,008 Posted January 3, 2019 A well chosen textured filter converts human figures into apparitions, that dance around in their own world. In my opinion, the slight yellowish tinge in the highlights creates a fitting mood for the ‘apparitions’. I am sure there will be others who will come up with new ways of looking at this image, since there is so much to imagine here. Great thinking and execution. Link to comment

michaellinder 16,611 Posted January 4, 2019 GC, thanks for your supportive remarks. - - - Supriyo, as the title may indicate, I created this image after viewing an abstract photo posted by Zbigniew Tyburczy. I emulated his style. I'm happy to know that you derived some exercise dancing around in this world. Link to comment

DGorinstein 20 Posted January 7, 2019 Sincere congratulations Michael, a most deserved Award and recognition. It would be futile and unproductive to analyze such a work of art. One has merely to look a it for a while....in silence...it will eventually talk to you. DG Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted January 8, 2019 This one didn't impress me as a thumbnail so I was curious as to the considerable response. It was only when I opened up the picture that the beauty of the forms in silhouette and semi-silhouette hit me. Congratulations on this photo being selected as POW. Well deserved. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,611 Posted January 8, 2019 Jack, I'm glad you decided not to run from the thumbnail. Link to comment

hstelljes 41 Posted January 19, 2019 Michael forgive me for not seeing and commenting on this till now. There should be an easier way to notice these type of things, but that's another conversation. First conrats on the POTW, well deserved now that I look at it. Jack was right about the thumbnail not grabbing us but the full frame version certainly does. I'll end this by placing this in my favorites..................All The Best, Holger Link to comment
