Pierre, I'm guessing that the philosophers depicted in this image are Aristotle and Plato. As Plato's student, Aristotle's entire body of work departed significantly from Plato's. Here they are examining the light bulb and debating whether it is real and, if so, the criteria used to make such a determination. They probably are having dialogue about how we know that's a light bulb and not something else. Given my academic background, I am compelled to place this photograph in my favorites. Otherwise these two giants of philosophy would never forgive me. - - My best always, michael
