A classic Mercedes sitting on top of a surrealistic surface, which could be taken for a surrealistic checkers game. Yet, to me, this image tells a rather somber tale. The vehicle is rendered more conspicuous in the image by the absence of people. Although it's a museum piece, automobiles are meant to be driven. IF there are no human beings in the world you've created, Pierre, the vehicle's existence has no meaning. To paraphrase a philosophical dictum which comes from George Berkeley (circa 15th and 16th centuries), if existence is predicated on being perceived, the car may not exist after all!
