tonychristians 136 Posted September 19, 2018 Very nice shot Laurent. There is so much character in these old, small country churches which is enhanced in this shot with the clouds. Link to comment

Wayne Sadler 567 Posted September 21, 2018 Have they dedicated a pew in your name yet. Excellent work, Laurent - composition, light, hue. Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted September 22, 2018 Wayne...Not so familiar with the interior of the church....I would guess that a place in the cemetery rather than a pew in my name might be the order!Glad you like the mood!Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
setsail728 15 Posted September 22, 2018 Ah! The church and churchyard that doesn't know how to take a bad picture!! Most photogenic from just about any angle. And you have illustrated that quite successfully on numerous occasions! Beautiful shot, and I have to believe that you always bring gorgeous cloud formations with you when you go out shooting photos each time!! Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted September 22, 2018 Warren...It is almost like that but the other way around:the skies usually drag me out for another shot of my pet subjects.I do the great majority of my shots along a 20 km stretch of road most on Miscou Island which has that single roadway running the length of the island ending at the lighthouse. As I leave home,I get almost immediately on the bridge on either ends of which are located the local wharfs;on the way,I will/can come across three small churches amongst which the one on this shot, then at mid-island,I drive over a large peat moss plain, then along the shoreline and finally end up at the lighthouse.Miscou Island is protected by a moratorium on peat moss exploration/exploitation and is home to over two hundred species of birds...and not least on the list,we have four very distinct seasons and temperature variations from-30c to +30c.What more can a person with a camera ask for?Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
