Butterfly weed!!! Gorgeous close up photography. I'm not at all familiar with this flower but I sure do like the way you photographed it!!

Hi Warren- thanks - this is actually a weed, as it can be seen along roadsides in early summer growing in the hardscrabblest of places. Ours are later to bloom- maybe altitude or excess water?
