Wayne Sadler 571 Posted January 22, 2017 I usually mask faces when doing street photography. I hope the rickshaw vendor will see this exception as free publicity. From my side view mirror I saw this rickshaw driver peddling up the steepest part of 4th Ave in downtown Nashville - a street that would give a marathon runner second thoughts. Not only was this lovely rickshaw driver not out of breath, but was smiling. Comments and critique appreciated. Link to comment
Emmanuel Enyinwa 0 Posted January 22, 2017 I was about to ask if you shot this from a car given the haze on the bottom. Glad you answered the question. She should be happy with the pic. Link to comment
dandem 1 Posted January 22, 2017 Well seen and well captured. yip, shes happy. I love the softness at the bottom with it running into the b/g. Well done. Regards, Lawrence Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted January 22, 2017 Hi Wayne,Of all my years living in Asia and Africa where the rickshaw is ever-present,I cannot remember ever seeing one with a female driver. You turned out a choice image here with the smiling driver set against the blurry background; know you spotted this in your rw mirror but was was this also taken via the mirror as the reversed letters would indicate?Good work!Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
photo by patsy dunn 1 Posted January 22, 2017 Wayne, Beautiful image with wonderful processing. For some reason it doesn't surprise me that you noticed this. Take care, Patsy Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted January 22, 2017 It could be Bodica rising into battle on her chariot, but maybe not with that wonderful smile! The processing adds a dream like quality that I find mesmerizing! Very well done! Alf Link to comment
momagnum 5 Posted January 24, 2017 Hi WayneThis is a masterpiece. No less. Everything works in this image: The cut, the blur of the back ground, the dark colors, the movement and the smile of the girl. Well done.Tommy Link to comment

Wayne Sadler 571 Posted January 26, 2017 Laurent, Thanks. I thought a female rickshaw drive a rarity too. Yes, taken through my side view mirror. (I was surprised at the quality of the image given my usually dirty mirrors). Link to comment

Wayne Sadler 571 Posted January 26, 2017 Alf,Many thanks. My depth of field made the background too distinct thus the selective blurring. Link to comment
Wayne Sadler 571 Posted January 26, 2017 Tommy,Many thanks. I suspect wherever this young lady is becomes an excellent image. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 266 Posted January 28, 2017 The whole picture is softened and that;s OK with me, Wayne! Cheers PDE Link to comment

hstelljes 41 Posted January 31, 2017 Wayne, This is a great result. I like the story of the circumstances about how the image was captured, you just never know when or how it's going to happen, but you were ready. Really like this.Best Regards, HolgerP.S. An incredibly belated Happy Holidays to you and your family Wayne. I was out of PN for a while due to illness, just getting back recently. Link to comment
