Nice face, shame about the legs :-)

Another sample of your acute observational skills to be admired and wondered at!

Thanks for the comments on this odd little number.

Alf - Always a pleasure when you drop by my sideshow. Yeah, the Japanese are pioneers when it comes to cyborgs like this little lady.

Steve - Thanks. I believe in the maxim "seek and ye shall find" in all its manifestations.

E. Short - Thanks for the visit. Haven't seen you around for quite a while. Hope you'll post some new work soon.

Jack, I am afraid you`ve already seen my latest work, and a long time ago, too. Some years back I went through some life changes, and I lost my muse; metaphorically, literally. Nature then no longer revealed herself to me, and I was shut out from the intimacy with nature and things I had always enjoyed and had tried to convey in my photographs. My seeing was gone, and so I lost interest in photography, my own and in general...

Speed forward to just two weeks ago, and for the first time in years I find great pleasure and inspiration in leafing through my monographs on Strand and the Westons, in looking at my own prints. I`m checking the forums to see what`s changed since last (not much, it seems) and I even went to a store to buy some chemicals and found that the price of film here has doubled from what already seemed expensive back then. Most importantly, I am seeing things again... I am wary that this might just be a passing flicker, I will tread gently and not upset the gods, but I hope that though you have seen my latest work as of now, you have still not seen my last.

I'm certainly glad to hear that the Muse is paying you a visit again. Your photography, as different as it is from my own, was always an inspiration for me. I've been at the "creativity" game for a long time now and have come to realize that everything proceeds in cycles. If I can borrow a lyric from the Grateful Dead's great anthem "Truckin'": Sometimes the light's all shining on me; // Other times I can barely see. // Lately it occurs to me // What a long, strange trip it's been.

I can personally vouch for the truth of those lyrics. Lot's of twists and turns and the road frequently is lost in the fog or disappears over the next hill. I can't see where it goes but I know if I stop where I am, the journey's over and I'll never find out. Good luck and good shooting. Maybe it's time to invest in a top of the line digital camera. Not as much fun but a hell of a lot cheaper. Best regards, Jack

Sometimes, as you know well, reality is hidden behind numbers, iron and plastic, but your eye goes beyond. Isn't this what photography is all about (and a few more technical things)? Chapeau. Ciao, G
