I am pretty sure this is not a Yaupon tree - maybe a wild holly, but

this exotic sounding name seems right for this tree. This dwarfed tree

near the Hatteras Ferry station speaks to me of resilience and

survival in an area frequented by hurricanes, storms and driving salt

water – the beauty of adaptation. Comments and critique appreciated.
