On the island of Ocracoke - Not so appetizing to have the catch of the

day cleaned five feet from your dining table, but definitely fresh.

Comments and critique appreciated

Patsy,

Thanks.  It didn't bother my appetite since I love to fish.  But it was a little rugged for my wife.  The fish was good.

Hi Wayne,

That sky full of masts and poles comes out great in the B/W treatment you have given this scene.Excellent image!Too bad you had to witness the preparation as nothing tastes good as fish just out of the water.

Salutations-Laurent

Wonderful. A very Good (6) image. Almost looks like a drawing. You have inspired me to try something like that.

Fresh is what I look for when I eat. I did see a chicken slaughtered and appear for dinner two hour later and that was 'off putting''. And I have never jumped at the opportunity to eat frog legs!

I'm with Tony, this looks like a fine pen and ink drawing.  Well done with the processing and the subject makes me hungry ;-)... Mike

Love the grey tones the angle of the shot and weathered poles.

The angled masts accentuate the fishing theme!

Very well done!

Laurent,

Many thanks.  Your comments are kind and always helpful.  You are right - you can't beat fresh from the water.

John,

Many thanks. I must confess.  I immediately recognized the strength of the composition but the black & white boost was a surprise.

Mike,

Thanks.  I was trying something new in the processing.  Sad to admit I am not sure I know exactly what I did. ( I think I was on my second class of Merlot)

Alf,

Many thanks for the helpful analysis and comments. I only recognized the visual strength of the masts during the crop stage of processing.
