Korean War Veterans Memorial Bridge also know as Nashville's Gateway

Bridge. I understand the city spent roughly $2 million updating the

lights with LED bulbs. From a photographer's point of view at night,

it appears worth it. Comments and critique welcome.

Nice shot, captures the feel of the bridge. I think there are a couple other interesting abstracts hidden in this shot. I would suggest a cropping of just the red underside as one. Good color and good contrast.

Good picture. The sweep of the arch across the deck of the bridge creates a very nice natural abstract composition. I guess in a certain sense every photo is an abstract in the way the various elements, tones and colors relate to one another and how they are positioned on the picture plane. This is a good illustration of the interplay of elements.

Charles,

Thanks.  Very encouraging.  Even though it is award winning, I didn't properly appreciate this bridge til I saw it at night.

Michael,

Many thanks for taking the time to comment.  I found myself taking a lot of time with each of your portfolio images.  I realize I must follow to learn from your work.

Hi Wayne,

Nice shot, the only crit that I have to offer is perhaps taking the shot in landscape format as the lower third in this format doesn't add much imho...

Mike

Mike,

Thanks. Very good suggestion.  I did several crops in landscape format. This one was interesting to me because of the lines/light ending at the bottom right.

Wow, fabulous POV - the light and detail is amazing Wayne.  thanks so much for the History of this bridge.  Those new bulbs sure seem to make images impressive!

I really LOVE everything about this shot, Wayne!!

Great composition, POV, detail, reflection, colors etc

The one thing that really tops it off for me is the vertical reflection in the lower right.  Adds a lot IMO.

Excellent work...

Jerry
