    Bird of Paradise

Hi Igor, thanks for the comment... With regard to the ants, I'm guessing that they are actually after aphids which secrete some form of substance which ants like... With regard to the sharpness, yes, this is handheld but also its a scan of a print which may explain it... Thanks and regards, Mike

    Copper

Pic of an old ornament of my mom's... brings back nostalgic memories. The ornament itself is a caricature of the old british "Bulldog" mixed with the "Bobby" (policeman)... Any comment and suggestions are more than welcome. Thanks and regards, Mike

Hi Timo, I like the focal point and dof as well as the tones. As an experiment and concept I think it works but I don't think the subject mattes makes me go "wow" Hope this helps... Regards, Mike

    autum leaf

Stunning Image!!! There is just so much to love about this shot. I love the stark contrast between the bright colours of the leaf against the grey background of the weathered wood (also the textures). Wonderfully simple but great impact. Congratulations and regards, Mike
  13. Hi Colleen, I love the soft pastel colours and mood. Beautifully taken! Congrats and regards, Mike

    Starburst

This image was taken against a background of dark soil and so I was able to highlight the flower itself. Any comments, suggestions and critiques are more than welcome. Thanks and regards, Mike
