Another Era

I have an earlier version of this Composition from a few years ago. It

had a mix of tones in it and was not as definitive in detail. I decided

to go back to it and see if I could cast another light on it.

Nice work. It has the feel of a late 1800s trainyard. I like the comp too, especially with the near train dominating the image.

Gail, well done. The highly contrasted and textured processing really catches and amplifies the gritty "machine as mighty and moveable god" spirit of the scene

Thank you for stopping by Jack.  Trains are so fascinating.  When I was taking images of these, I was utterly amazed at the number of Patents that were stamped into the many parts that make up a Locomotive.  Portraying them in this 'gritty' way seemed to suite them.
