Joscelyn and Jack - thanks. I was looking for a specific image and found this in my archives.

I'm not surprised that you find stunning images in your archives, just jealous ;-).  Beautiful place.... Mike

This Is really an eye catching image. What I find special about this scene is, the part of the beach seems to be at a lower elevation than the water level. It is an illusion no doubt, but an effective one. You made very good use of wide angle. Also the dark color of the sand contrasts very well with the pebbles, and the blue water. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks. I think the reason I have some of these in my archives is because I usually 'work a scene' with 10 to 20 shots depending on the circumstance and then I usually pick one or two to share and then I forget the rest. Thankfully I did not delete any.

I am pleased that you liked it. I also like it and wonder why I skipped it in the past. Perhaps my tastes have matured.

Thanks for visiting and describing what you liked in such detail. I had not noticed the 'illusion' you mentioned. Sometimes it takes a 2nd pair of eyes to bring a particular aspect to light.  All the best,

Perfectly composed and presented with interest in all sections of the image.

I like the shutter speed that shows the receding wave and contrasting stones amongst the dark sand.

Very well done!

Pierre - it is good to hear from you!

Alf - thanks. I guess my tastes are changing since I can't believe that I did not select this one to share before today.  I recently saw a magazine cover from Marc Adamus with tremendous color and sometimes I wonder if my images are too understated.

Maurizio - thanks for your description of the things which appealed to you.

All the very best,
