setsail728 15 Posted November 21, 2014 Absolutely marvelous portrait. I see a great face with a no nonsense expression. The focus is great and the light and shadow are equally great. Very well done!! Link to comment
dave_dise1 0 Posted November 22, 2014 Line, very well done! I like the dark tone as it draws attention to the face and whiskers. The pose is natural yet distinctive. The framing is perfect. The POV works perfectly. I like the way the right shoulder fades into the background. Link to comment

Wayne Sadler 570 Posted November 22, 2014 Both your characters and your art are being immortalized in this portrait series. Your process seems tailored perfectly for each unique person but in each image there is the same acceptance, rapport, trust and respect for the artist and his art - like each person is an old trusted friend. LineMartel 6,260 Posted November 23, 2014 My view: ... I suffer from social anxiety disorder. Since I don't interact easily with people, I have spent most of my life observing them..... A different kind of connection. I guess it has an important impact on my art. Link to comment
Wayne Sadler 570 Posted November 23, 2014 Line,Fascinating. Seems to have spawned a genius for this portrait work. I am basically a shy person and will rarely do street photography because of that. I recently got the courage to try street photography in New York of all places and using a tripod. Boy did I stick out. Surprisingly people's reaction to me put me at ease. However this genius is created your series of portraits are museum quality and perforce are likely to end up there. Congrats again on these amazing productions. Link to comment
LineMartel 6,260 Posted November 23, 2014 It took me a lot to get comfortable with street photography. The fact you were using a tripod is a good approach. I find that if I have the camera on a tripod or keep it up ready to take a shot, suddenly the roles are reversed. I am not invading peoples' space anymore...they are the ones walking into mine...
