I was surprised to have captured this moment and even more so with a

tolerable degree of clarity. Kind of rare for me. Must be the lens.

Comments and critique appreciated.

Amazing timing...sometimes it works in spite of our best effort...just keep pushing that shutter button...a lovely Tufted Titmouse.

Sheesh! You are even training them to do tricks now : - )

Bur seriously you are far too modest, I have seen your work and and like this one one it is of a high calibre!

Excellent clarity and detail!

I noticed you used a 100 mm lens, how close did you manage to get to the bird, and did you crop the image?

Compliments!

Alf,

Thanks.  Much appreciated.  Yes, this was cropped.  I think my working distance was about 3 meters.  And given the amount of caffeine in my veins at any given time I am pretty sure I used a tripod.  Still learning this lens, but so far it performs impressively.

Nothing I can add that hasn't already been said!

Excellent title, details & clarity, background & colors!

Very appropriate presentation too! Adds to the overall subtle tones.

I do love the stare!

Cheers,

Gail,

Thanks.  Decent clarity is an accomplishment for me. I used not to be so concerned about sharpness, even now sometimes not.
