BEDDED DOWN FOR THE NIGHT

Well, it is for him anyway. I looked at this picture and tried to place myself in it. Everything I own right there. Easy prey for crime, no security, no medical care (unless you call going to the E R medical care), no way to climb out of the hole and on and on. I'm not strong enough to face such adversity. Guess momma raised a sissy.

Humanity never was so rich, and the richness in the 1% hand. It is shame, not supposed to happen today. Picture, to think, and become sad. Those people whom read a book, any book to day, are not bums, just unfortunate. They terribly unfortunate.  Ones, a queen visited a devastated pure neighborhood, (hurricane katrina NO) and  made a comments, "those are the under privileged, yah" as it was a natural normal things for her.

We pretty much agree. I'm a firm believer in the evils of capitalism, but I think the real problem is evolution. We've evolved in such a manner that competition for resources is our natural behavior. And, admittedly there was a time when that was essential for the betterment of the species. Unfortunately, that very trait now works against us by keeping us from doing rational things to preserve the species. I don't believe it's a reversible process. Alas, we are just along for the ride.
