No, she doesn't only have ONE EYE. But if I'd just gotten a better

angle I'd have gotten the other eye also!!!! It is such a gentle looking

image of her too. Her fur was so full that at that particular angle I

could not get her other eye as well. She is so hard to take images

of. Real rascal, just runs from me when she sees the Camera, thinks

it's a game. She just got back from the Groomer the other day and

she has barely any fur at all, poor girl. In the Winter she needs a real

proper comb through every day and if you miss one or two, she gets

really matted. Jim took her for a good long walk a few days after this

image was taken. It had snowed, was not too cold and she just loves

jumping in the snow. She came home with snowballs matted all over

her!! She may be 'nearly naked' now, but we'll be on top of her

grooming and she will be much more comfortable as the weather

warms up. Visits and comments are always appreciated, ;-)Gail.

I thought, before I read the explanation, that she actually had only one eye! And I was about to start saying how wonderful that she had you to love her even more without her eye! But, without the eye, the image, is very diferent and I know that you love her unconditionally regardless of her rascal behabior! Beautiful composition my friend.

This one is going to get an avalanche of ooh's and ahh's so I'll just be among the first to voice my appreciation of your pictorial skills. I think it would be hard to improve on this one. The sharp detail softening almost to abstract impressionism is perfect in the way it simultaneously reveals and obscures.. Excellent work, Gail.

'Center of Beauty'. I like the chosen background here that puts Abbey as the center of attention in this photograph. But where is her other eye?

Hi Jorge,

I titled the image that hoping that folks would read the explanation, otherwise they may think me 'crazed' for posting this image!! Thank you for your kind words Jorge, I am so glad she does have both eyes, just too much fur!!!

I guess you did not see the 'forward', understandable. She is not missing an eye, her 'hair' was so fluffy and full that at that angle you could not see her eye!! I was quite upset as it is difficult to get her to stay put long enough to get a decent capture. She really has to be daydreaming for me to sneak up on her. Normally when she sees me with the camera, she just runs-thinks it's a wonderful game.

many thanks Lester for dropping by and sharing your thoughts about this image, ;-) Gail

Did she sign a release because she is obviously a professional model?

She has considerable beauty which you have captured and shared.

I notice the absence of tear and mouth stains. Hard to do with many breeds.

Hope to see a lot more of Abbey, Gail.

Hi John,

Thankyou very much for that kind critique. We are very careful to take care of her eyes. Clean them everyday or else her skin round the eye gets rather tender. She does not stain there that much. If we did not take care of her eyes she would stain in the inner corner. I am pretty good at keeping her mouth area clean. She only eats dry food, sometimes under the fur closer to the gum line she will get stains. There is too much hair on her in this pic for you to see that, I actually have to go looking for it myself.  Abbey is our second Bichon, our first would only eat wet food and her mouth stained a lot more. I only got lucky at getting this capture!! She does not stay still for long when I have my camera in my hand!!!

Not many weeks go by and I am thinking about you and how things are progressing since 'Sandy'. Your lovely image just posted was on your lovely vacation. Who knew how much life would change in a few short months. I am glad you had that time to take such beautiful images Warren. Thankyou for dropping by, you being a Vet, makes me think of just how 'cute' she must be!!!

Sincere wishes for better months ahead, Gail

thankyou for those lovely words, by now you know that I had discovered you had lost your dear Harvey the other day. What a lovely friend and beautiful dog. Your image of him is just beautiful. It will take time, these dear ones leave their paw prints all over our hearts - but I think this is a good thing, and in time, when we are ready, hopefully we find another friend to love or in your case like Harvey, truly needs rescuing!!!

Warmest regards, Gail
