alfbailey 3 Posted April 30, 2012 This is a really delightful image. I love the reflections of the fence and the little bridge. I suspect that the highlights have been blown at the top of the image but that wouild be easily cropped out if you thought it necessary. Being B &W I'm not sure that it is at all necessary, but I think it would work either way. The foreground blossoms set the mood nicely. Very well done!Best RegardsAlf Link to comment

michaellinder 16,613 Posted May 3, 2012 When I first viewed the thumbnail of this image, I must admit that it really motivated me to take a closer look at the larger version. Then, even though I really like the composition, the tonality, and the soft feel of the photograph as a whole, I found myself wishing that the branches in the upper left weren't blocking my view. Jack McRitchie 150 Posted May 4, 2012 There's something nostalgic about this picture, like a scene from years ago, half-remembered and half invented. Perhaps this has something to do with the range of tones and sharpness as well as the play of the hard-edged geometric (the fence and its reflection in the water) agaist the softer impressionism of the landscape and the blurred screen of blossoms in the upper left. Individual elements could be critiqued but fo some reason the whole works together very well.. Link to comment
