A view along the exterior colonnade of the Parthenon, or rather a replica

of the Parthenon in Nashville. TN. At certain times of day there is this

interplay between the geometry of the building and the geometry created

by light and shadows that challenges perception. I wanted to challenge

perception even more by duplicating the image, rotating and blending the

copy layer. What resulted were planes that felt ephemeral, with little

substance, forming a corridor with no distinct end. I did, however, insert

an image at the end of the corridor, but it is only distinct enough at this

file size and resolution to leave room for imagination. Comments and

critique welcome.

It is an interesting result for this abstract you did, moment of the day when light creates this shadows, all this architecture lines made a tunnel effect here, and what is to the end?this is free to each one for imagination I think, compliments.

Hello, This is a mezmerizing image that is also an optical illusion, at least to me anyway. I look and appears one wall is shorter to the frame than the other , I look again and I'm not so sure? The alternating lines created by the shadows work perfectly into this scheme to which I am a victim of illusion. Fantastic work Wayne.

A mesmerising creation of light and shadow, colour and shape.  There seems to co-exist a space age modern state of the art, cutting edge architecture that has come face to face with traditional stone, the result is a myriad of cutting shadows and reaching light that plays between the two. Great photo-art, a delight to view!

Best Regards

Alf

Symmetry, Depth, clarity and light all work together to produce a wonderful image. Well done and thanks for the technical details.
