alfbailey 3 Posted December 12, 2011 A difficult shot to make, shooting into the light, even the low light with such a dark foreground is testing to say the least. But you have made it work. I think this is due to the inclusion of the picket fence as a leading line and the rows of crosses. The church itself is a lovely design and there seems to be minimal distortion, the composition could possibly be a bit too central?, it just remains for me to mention that wonderful sky.Best RegardsAlf Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted December 12, 2011 And thank you for taking the time to formulate that kind comment. This shot was taken at sunset today and clouds were fleeing under strong winds and -10C temp.,so framing was quickly oriented to capture maximum coloring in the clouds.I cropped lightly to have picket fence die in the corner of the frame and church ended basically in center as you point out.Maybe good as distortion in church structure would have been more pronounced had it been further away from center with the lense at the 10mm end.Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
Giangiorgio Crisponi 461 Posted December 12, 2011 A very nice image ( you must try to use a ND filter to darken and saturate the sky and give more light to the cemetery) , ciao Giangiorgio Link to comment
