You have captured the evening colours and sky really well and I really like the outstretched limb of the tree breaking the sky. Maybe it would have been worth considering turning the camera very slightly to the left thus avoiding the darker RH side of the tree and perhaps capturing more of the rocks to the left. But of course I don't what else was to your left it could well have been something you wanted to avoid. The colours and mood are fantastic.

Best Regards

Alf

Gorgeous shot Richard! Beautiful sky, and a lovely scene, nicely captured.

All the best,

I am enjoying this dusky spectacle while having fresh cookies and milk! Nothing better than quality images on my computer while having a late night treat! Really lovely Richard!! Oh, of course I'm nit-picking when I say you're horizon is tilted about 1.5 degrees left. Perfect beyond that however!!

Hi Rich,

Beautiful color!  I like the composition on the right half, but I'm disturbed by the partial rock on the left.  I wish I could see the whole thing.

Joaquin,Ruud,Wanghan,Neil and Pekka Thanks very much.

Alf, well I do have a copy as you describe but the wind was strong and the tree is very noticeable blurred, the lesson is that I should of boosted my ISO to maybe 400 and shot at F8 rather than F16 to cope with the wind.

Mark, thanks very much for pointing out my wonky horizon and your generous comments.

John, you are wright as always!!! :-),Ill post the other composition Thanks.

stunning light and colors. very good perspective. i would suggest a crop from the left side to exclude that big stone, i feel it distracting. otherwise a very good photo.

Hi Richard,

This is a very nice scene.

However, the color balance does not appear correct.

It looks too magenta. Now this might be what is really was, but I ran it through CS5, using Auto Color balance and got a different natural looking result. Either way, the scene is very nice.

Best Regards,  Mike

hey thanks Mike your image looks great, the sky was a pretty color I used a 3 stop Lee ND and did not really do much work out of the camera. Other than brighten up the for ground with fill light in light room and boost the exposure on the tree and grass.

Rich.
