Nice to see the big Nikkors at work.

The 500mm F/4 has been a favorite of mine. It works extremely well with the matched 1.4X Nikkor converter, too.

For the range, I was surprised to see this lens stopped down to F/7.1, as its performance begins to roll off at that stop.

I always shot all my big Nikkors and canons wide open.
