God knows no one loves a roach 'cept maybe another roach and even then most likely only after a couple of glasses of wine.

David,  This is a lugubrious looking circus tent... Amazing capture.  I actually never had seen the fumigation process in action before. Let alone on a church.. (Your title adds the perfect touch of irony to this :-)

It looks like a "christmas" surprise present.....what is missing is the tree and the stocking.....;-)) Funny, ironic, your good title, and  eye.

wow, this is purification to the maximum.  The church looks like a gian traffic cone.  Cheers, Micheal

Is it purification, Insect Fumigation or is just Religion gift wrapped : - )  Priceless capture! ......This could start a new trend!

Best Regards

Great shot, David, like something by Christo but more probably an installation by Acme Exterminators. It actually reminds me of pachinko parlors in Japan, though this is not quite as gaudy. Interesting title; it caused as double loop in my mind

I don't know what I can say that wouldn't be repeating what others said above. Brilliant work David!

My recollection of my own circumcision is pretty vague, and I've not been in the habit of attending anyone else's. So I'll just have to take your word that they wrap the intended target organ before snipping away. Ouch!

On another note, since you brought up the phallic nature of the subject, what a great condom color this would be. I'm not big on stripes myself, but for those who are.................

Never mind.

Actually, I was thinking of the sheathing as being, well, integral to the church, before itself being snipped off. Natural male equipment is reputedly more entertaining than the snipped, and certainly that would seem to be true of a striped church versus a drab one.

Having attended the circumcision of both my little boys, I can give a description of the event. First, they shoot the poor kid in the member with an anesthetic, then, they swab some sterilizers on it. Then, they they grab it with some tweezers, stretching the skin into a thin, almost elastic sheath. They then use a razor and slice it off by tracing around the tip. It is a bit of a violent, gruesome spectacle, but nowhere near as violent or gruesome as the birth of the child itself, and since the birth normally takes place just a few days before the beheading, if you saw the former, you are usually jaded by the latter. I don't know if that long explanation helped--or was particularly called for--but there.

Way more than I wanted to know. There are some things I just don't want to know about. Guess my middle name should have been, "ostrich."
