2011 Winter Stubble

It looks as winter has " shaved" the fields but did not do a great Jobe...;-)) But you did a good one,. Nice lined forms, good DOF and nice B/W , real winter landscape.

The converging lines disappearing over the hill are what first attracted my attention.  This, one of three frames I took, also has horizontal lines & I think the play of one against the other is what gives it impact, provides a base for this horizontal version.  It meets my original expectations.  Best, LM.

This is great, Len!  Every Friday I go by very similar scenery and never think to photograph it.  There's a barn nearby that I keep promising myself that I will photograph but haven't done it.  You have inspired me.  :O)  I'll even photograph the "stubble" to show you. :O)

This could be one of our fields around our house. The sweeping lines, with nice asymmetry for tension, and your inclusion of horizontal lines in the foreground, make for a successful composition. The small house adds scale and interest. Very good !
