A happy child in spite of her situation. A well photographed topic that speaks volumes by itself. Regards, ifti.

I see you've been back in India. Nice child portrait, happy with small mercies.Like the way you light these subjects, I am going in for street portraits and intend sharing them with pn members. Also I am following your advise and it works with a occasional stare.

A portrait stands apart when the photog is aware of the story that shapes those features/ or the moments we witness. I see here a situation with a true message of HOPE for all humanity. A hope that arises from within, despite raging winds of destruction all around, there's no sight better than ELEVATED HUMAN SPIRIT, and that is what you captured here my friend, so gracefully! Regards!

Very pleasant little lady and very well lit, the details and colors add a lot of interest here while her mile makes a great contact with the viewers.

Thank you my friend for sharing it and wishing you all of the best.

Dear Birte, to look at this image hurts!  You are a master at your craft my friend. Impresive message of pain and suffering.  Warm regards from Miami.

Another 7 for much the same reasons as the last one, however just as a footnote, I like the way you bring a balanced view of child poverty, displaying a brief moment of pleasure in an otherwise sad existance.

Best Regards
