Amazing work Zsolt, excellent foreground ,the technique applied for the movement of water is exceptional, very nice work indeed, regards,Harry

This is superb zsolt, it has a very sylised appearance and the lack of clouds really allows those sharply focussed foreground rocks and the sea stacks to be the main emphasis of the shot, I think a more powerful sky would definitely detract from the shot.

Outstanding capture and spot. A splendid landscape photo and composition. Masterpeace, 7. 17-40 works very well along with the Mark II, I see as well. Wow, cool :-). 4 sec shutter speed - the waves must have been pretty violent, right, to get such a blurred illustration of them only after just 4 sec? Any special editing applied in addition? This is great shot. I would also suggest an abstract shot avoiding those rock formations in the background. Would be perfect with TSE lens.

Stunning Capture... this image sets a great mood (relaxation), I must agree with Art though, the big rocks in the background are a bit distracting. Nevertheless, really beatiful work!

I also agree that there is another shot waiting to be presented, using only the foreground of this shot. The background looses strength to me due to the two elements overlapping on the right side. If there were a shooting angle that placed separation between each element it would be stronger.

What an amazing atmosphere you created her, really like the result of the long exposure. Light and colors are very nice too. The details on the rocks in the back and the front are really amazing, love this shot! Very well done :)

I must confess I can't really understand the comments in favour of losing the background. This photo to me anyway is all about detail, it has been captured perfectly from front to back. The eye is led very easily through the scene and through the gap between the highly detailed and perfectly exposed sea stacks. Maybe in an attempt to critique, it would have been nice to have a focal point somewhere in the distance through the gap between those cliffs, such as the rising or setting sun, but under these conditions I cannot see what could be improved. It would be interesting for people to elaborate on their comments, I could certainly learn from them.

For me the aesthetic beauty of the image comes from the impeccable foreground detail, the smooth sea, typical of this type of long exposure, and the razor sharp sea stacks. As for improvements well, there isn't much I can suggest, maybe a touch more saturation in the sea colour at the horizon to give a more definative line against the sky, but in all honesty thats just a personal preference. It's an excellent seascape in my opinion.

Well done Zsolt!

Alf

Excellent shot Zsolt! Love the incredible detail in the foreground rocks, and the soft, dreamy look of the sea. I like the subtle separation of sea and sky, as I think this gives the image an otherworldly feel to it. Well done!

All the best,
Neil

Honestly Zsolt, I can't possibly offer a useful comment for this. It is remarkable and close to perfect! Sure we could second guess your composing of the elements, but you chose the broader expansive view and it is the right choice. In most cases I would hope to see more sky detail in the way of clouds, but in this image I believe it almost would detract from the concept. Very well done!!!

thanks for all!

i really happy to see there are so much people who like my photo.

as already replied, the suggestions about the distracting background: i understand what are you looking for but that would be an other shot, very different, not what i was looking for. probably great idea too.

Volker: single shot, no post processing, only color and contrast adjustments, dodge/burn. the waves were really violent, after i took the next shot ( called " egg stones"), it comes a huge wave and caught me, making me wet and my camera out of function. it was fixed soon, but the next morning when was even better light i was not able to take photos.
