I took this Christmas Day 2003 just as the sun was coming up. Two

minutes later it went behind the clouds and never showed its face

again that day.

I like the golden tones of this one, but also like the second one for its different appeal and therefore have rated them both 6/6. the only thing that spoils the other one for me is what appears to be a railway line in the bottom right corner, otherwise a great shot, congrats.

Thank you very much. Its one of my favorite photos too. It was taken on Christmas morning of 2003 just at daybreak. The world lit up for a few minutes in a spectacular way. It didn't last long and the rest of the day was gray. But it was gorgeous for those few minutes.

The colors are just lovely. Are they natural or did you enhance in the computer? Good photo!

Thank you Irv. To answer your question the photo is not enhanced. Its a reflection of the conditions that actually existed for a few minutes. I did very minimal processing to it. A curves adjustment and a USM routine is about it. I made no color adjustments at all, not even a boost in saturation.

I just love this Photo. The tones and colors, the detail, the stripes of light on the floor. Fantastic.

About your comment on my photo (thanks) You're right... it was a huge crop. Best regards

I am a sucker for trees and when i see these pictures you post here with them i am just in awe! I like this one in a special way because the tre goes so well on the beckdrop of the sky that makes it worth of a painter from the Renaissance...love itsame as the lonely pine...]
