Where I Wander

WJT

I feel this looks best in the LARGER VIEW. Exposure was 2 seconds at f22. Gitzo 1325/Acratech ball head. Cropped, and adjusted using Photoshop CS in Ektaspace.

A very nice composition. I like the interplay of the trees, the stones (bridge included) and the water. In particular, I like the way almost all of the shot is framed in leaves, and the way the water is composed onto the diagonal of the shot, just with the motion evident at the very beginning and end.

I've just mixed feelings about the trees covering part of the bridge which I might have liked in full sight: why did you arrange is such?

A very fine shot, Walter. I like the colours and textures very much. The main composition works well with enough detail to make the shot hold the attention while they are absorbed.

so many responses on this one; I'm very thankful to all for your visits.

Salvatore, thanks for your input. It was impossible for me to do what you suggest. My location here was perched on a rather slippery and narrow point of the cliff face that is about 40 feet or so above the rocks and water. I had to bushwhack my way in inorder to get this angle. If I moved any farther to the right I would have been tumbling down into the ravine. Regards.

Thanks Mario, Hassan, and Tom. Yes Tom, I do indeed love the 6x7 format! I am glad that Pentax made it so accessible. Regards.

Walter, I have been looking at this for a few days now and can't really say anything other than what has already been said. This is a fantastic shot. The colors pop; nor could I think of another way to compose the scene. Very nice image! Congrats. - Sean

Well, Walter, if you are going to get the good ones, you are going to have to get off the trail, and you surely did here. This is absolutely beautiful.

It is a new angle...I have been to this location so many times, and never really done anything interesting. You seem to have a superb shots of this location. Well done...

I would like to thank everyone for their visits. As I mentioned above, this is a new angle at this location. The "old" angle is seen in my previously posted A Place to Rest

photograph. Although I like this new angle, I still prefer, overall, the older photograph. For me, that one seems to be more concentrated. Regards, and thanks again.
