Raven and morning mists.

--since you wouldn't ans. the question about the '2nd Raven', I consulted the next best authority (my wife). She thinks its a rock outcrop on the distant ridge obscured partially by the mist.;-)

It is indeed a rock outcrop. Pardon my tardy reply, as life comes in intermittent waves of activity for me. :-)

 

Incidentally, those far hills at the top of the frame are likely on the order of 20km(13.5mi)away, though they might seem a lot closer.

Really nice! I just wish the raven was flying into the frame, not out (i.e., was facing the other way).

The raven was a surprise. I was lucky to even capture it except for my razor-sharp, finely-honed reflexes. ;)

I like the simple composition, and of course the raven is essential to give it zap: overall a very Tolkien-y feeling captured. Well done.

What can I say... I like this one.
