This is one of my favourite pictures.

I used to climb trees a lot as a kid, and I climbed another to take

this picture.

It says a lot about me.

Please tell me what you think.

Very nice photo. I love the fact that all three kids are doing something different--you did a good job capturing the moment. I did notice some blurring in the upper left corner of the photo...a scanning artifact perhaps?

Robert, thanks for the positive comments.

I think the blurring is actually flare from the lens...I usually print this down, but when I was posting the image on Photo.net, sunlight was falling on my monitor - I'll fix it later.

PS. If you look closely you'll see a fourth kid in the tree.(!)

Thanks. Chris Battey (Photographer)

You have one of the most consistent and probably one of the best portfolios on photo.net. It amazes me to see how relatively low your ratings are. Yours is truly amazing work.

Thanks Alexander, your enthusiasm just might push me out of the door this weekend to shoot some more...it's been raining here in Sydney for weeks now.

Thanks again. CB

Alexander (comment above) - photographing life seems to be an (almost) disappeared genre: (a) it's more difficult to get a right composition of several highly mobile targets (b) no one wants to deal with it, because if there are people on the shot, they might sue for their share of profits - that is why Westerners photograph picturesque peasants abroad and landscapes at home © it won't make a nice colour spot on the wall in your sitting room (d) and so on and so forth

And with public tastes formed by other style images, therefore, the dumb crowd naturally won't think too high of images in this style. If you are a "street" photographer, be prepared for a kind of neglect.
