Kestrel - (Falco tinnunculus) - I photographed this kestrel, perched on a rock among the flowers, with Nikon D850, f / 9, 1 / 400sec, ISO320. Thanks for your comments

Another superb wildlife photo Giangiorgio. I surely wish I had your skills for this type of photography.

Best regards,

Gary.

If I remember correctly, Giangiorgio, a kestrel is a bird of prey, related to a hawk. It's a bit of a shame in a sense that there are colors in the vegetation on not sides. However the bird's coloration and feather pattern(s) win the day. - - My best always, michael - - - - Ciao!

great shot - so interesting to see these guys up close. Just wondering, did you also receive photo net comments in your email a few days ago? It seemed to work only one day.

Thank you so much Gregory and Verena for your appreciated comment, glad you liked it. Yes, I too received some comments in the email a few days ago. I thought Photo.net had picked up on this old custom, but it only lasted a day , ciao Giangiorgio

Hi Giangiorgio,

wonderful shot of this kestrel among the colors of spring; something we don't see too often. The details of the plumage stand out. Kind regards, Vincent

Grazie mille Vincent for your generous comment. I photographed this kestrel from the window of my car, strangely he let himself approach showing a lot of confidence, the overcast sky made a beautiful lighting. ciao Giangiorgio
