Daniel...You have such a keen eye to spot mundane scenes like this and frame them into choice images! The diagonal slipping over the damaged area, the plaque and last but not least, the color combination....just excellent, cher ami!Mes meilleures salutations-Laurent

Hi Daniel,

this is a very strong composition that wouldn't catch many people's eye. Not only did you notice it, you have captured the scene very well, including the details in the wall's surface , the plate and the railing. Bravo! Kind regards, Vincent

A very beautiful image with an excellent diagonal composition that highlights this ancient staircase with a beaten iron railing, whose previous restoration, as the plaque says, dates back to more than 150 years ago and deserves a renewal, The expert Daniel's photographic eye could not miss this photo, ciao Giangiorgio

Excellent shot Daniel. I agree, great composition, colors, lines of the staircase, the interesting stair railings, textures, the pop of color in the plaque, the streaks and swirling stains on the wall and the pawling of the masonry. Well done Daniel!

Hello my fellow Photographers. I feel privileged to have so exceptional and unique companions..., as if all young and attending the same class: "Photography-Advanced". What I'm trying to say, is that I am humbled by the reception and comments given to my photo had. On a side, but on the same wave, for me, this way, way more valuable than “Editor’s Choice" - (which, by the way has all but disappeared). What you write and express truly lifts my spirits, and the honor to be able to share with Photographers like yourselves. You ARE the judges, because you so generously and kindly express, and share, what you feel/see. Cannot thank you enough to each one of you personally, which I am doing with my reply with thanks and appreciation. Much obliged. DG

Daniel, I'll try my best to avoid plagiarizing the previous comments. Two elements grabbed my attention immediately. First, the ornate railing and - secondly, the decrepit condition of the wall. This involves a contrast in both appearance and material. Also, the area of crumbling masonry resembles an abstract dragon. Your eye, your talent, and your artistry are so evident in this image. - - My best always, michael

Oh Michael...I am breathless reading your comment. You sooooo much understand what I was looking through my find viewer, and what I was trying to capture, but more than that, to transmit - without words - precisely what you describe....and more, which would take me a very long while, for every fellow PN photographer's time is valuable. Thank you, Michael. And thanks once more to all of the foregoing comments. All my best, to each one of you, individually and personally. DG
