vincentoiseau 83 Posted August 22, 2021 You may have seen Moustiers-Sainte-Marie more often in my photos, as it is quite a photogenic location. The little town at the lac-du-Ste. Croix and bordering the Gorges du Verdon is a treasure, although it is very touristic. One night I was coming back from a longer walk (and photo trip) and saw this evening panorama that I couldn't resist. I was surprised the notorious metal star hanging between the high rocks is still visible. Your comments are very welcome. Link to comment

Giangiorgio Crisponi 502 Posted August 23, 2021 A magnificent image taken in the blue hour after sunset, the warm color of the public lighting contrasts well with its complementary blue color, creating a beautiful dream atmosphere, ciao Giangiorgio Link to comment
Wayne Sadler 616 Posted August 23, 2021 Excellent light management, design and clarity. Wish I could manage evening images this well. Glad you mentioned the star. I thought I had dust on my monitor that happened to be at a perfect spot for this image. Link to comment

vincentoiseau 83 Posted August 23, 2021 Hi Wayne, thank you for your very friendly comments! I'm sure you would manage making a photo like this; it's just a matter of trial and error. You're right about the star, it does look like a bit of dust indeed. Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
Todd Kraenzel 1 Posted August 25, 2021 What a beautiful setting and very well captured! I really like the illumination of the rocks from the town lights giving them a warm glow contrasting with the coolness of the blue hour. Nicely done Vincent. Warmest regards, Todd Link to comment
vincentoiseau 83 Posted August 25, 2021 Hi Todd, thank you so much for these wonderful comments, well appreciated! As you know, photography in this kind of situation doesn't even come close to the magic of what you see with your bare eyes. The illumination of the rocks was way better in real life than on this photo, but I'm glad you got the vibe from this image. Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
vincentoiseau 83 Posted August 27, 2021 Hi Jamie, thank you for these appreciative comments! I guess I was at that spot at precisely the right moment. I took some more shots, but they lacked the mix of blue hour and artificial light; I was lucky to have this one. Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
